You are cordially invited to the first BGS Speaker event of 2013, at which Sam Stubbs, a 2012 NZ Herald Business Leader of the Year Finalist, will share about his journey as a leader in some of New Zealand's most iconic financial services companies. Most recently, Sam was the CEO of TOWER Investments, where he led the company to manage more than $4.3 billion for New Zealand trusts, charities, superannuation funds, institutions and individuals. Sam will also impart his wisdom on the topic of "Bad Boss"!
We are also privileged to have a second speaker, David Russell, the co-founder of Hopscale a new start-up accelerator that will be based in Auckland. David recently returned to New Zealand after spending over 20 years in Silicon Valley working in senior positions at Google and Cisco Systems. Since returning to New Zealand, David has set out to share his passion and wisdom with Auckland's growing start-up scene.
Michelle Horn, Crew & Volunteer Coordinator for The Ride to Conquer Cancer will also be in attendance to tell us about the exciting charity evening coming up in November 2013. The Ride to Conquer Cancer is a charity cycling event to help raise funds for the ground-breaking work that researchers at the Auckland Cancer Society Research Centre (ACSRC) are conducting.
Networking drinks will follow the formal part of evening at The Paddington, 117 St Georges Bay Rd Parnell.
