Dot Foods, Inc.
Since 1960, Dot Foods has been delivering food products quickly and reliably from manufacturers to distributors all across the U.S. We don't sell to the operator--our customer is the distributor.
Dot brings distributors the largest selection of products of any food redistributor. We offer over 70,000 quality products from 500 food industry manufacturers that our customers know and trust.
Less-than-truckload (LTL) customers are the highest cost, hardest to reach, and most expensive to serve customers for any manufacturer.
Dot helps manufacturers reach these customers in ways no one else can. We've become the industry leader by servicing LTL customers day after day, and making believers out of manufacturers. Because Dot makes a manufacturer's products available to our huge customer base of 3,300+ distributors, we help manufacturers rapidly increase sales while lowering costs.
Dot stocks the top-selling lines in every category, and we are constantly adding new manufacturers and new products. Distributors can offer more items without adding new slots. They can source dry, refrigerated and frozen foods -- as well as equipment and supplies -- all from one source. We reach every market in the nation at least once a week from our distribution centers in California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, New York and Oklahoma, with lead times as short as 48 hours. |
Dot does not require minimums on individual product lines. Distributors can buy a mix of temperatures and products, with a combined minimum of just 5,000 pounds. Our multi-temperature trailers ensure product integrity as we deliver dry, frozen and refrigerated products on the same truck. Our customers buy exactly what they need in the quantities they need. Fewer products delivered more often means increased inventory turns and improved cash flow.
Brokers and buying groups also find it very profitable to work with Dot. That's because through the entire process, Dot remains "transparent." Brokers and manufacturer direct reps receive 100 percent credit in most cases. And distributors get the same negotiated promotions, growth programs and special pricing from manufacturers as if they were buying direct.
It's truly a win/win situation for everyone up and down the food supply chain. That's why our trucks say, "Delivering supply chain solutions to the food industry."
