Communications from the Central Office

Beta Gamma Sigma recognizes that its collegiate chapter advisors are extremely busy and receive a great deal of email from a variety of sources. Between professional and personal communications (not to mention the ever-increasing, ever-more-annoying collection of spam and junk mail), inboxes are overflowing and time is short.
For an organization like ours, email is far and away the cheapest and most efficient method for Beta Gamma Sigma to get its message out. With our variety of stakeholders – collegiate advisors, alumni officers, deans, student members, lifetime members, etc. – we send out quite a few messages. We certainly understand your reluctance to go through everything that originates with the Society.
However, as a chapter advisor/assistant, it is important that you open and go through a couple of Beta Gamma Sigma’s email communications: the Connection (this publication) and the B-Mail.
The Connection is delivered twice each year (once in the fall and spring) to collegiate chapter advisors and other chapter representatives. It is timed so chapters can prepare for the upcoming semester, and be sure that Beta Gamma Sigma is part of the planning. Each issue is full of great tips, hints and suggestions that will make your chapter run its best.
The B-Mail is delivered every week during the spring and every couple weeks throughout the rest of the year. It’s a much smaller publication, usually focusing on two or three timely topics that may help you in honoring your best student members. Each issue includes reminders, great tips and suggestions, along with the contact information of the person in the Central Office who can answer your questions on the topic.
We will be sure to include “Connection” or “B-Mail” in the subject line so you know that the email is critical to your chapter role. We hope you’re interested in many of our other email pieces – the Benefits Emails, CareerCentral employer updates, etc. – but the Connection and B-Mail are the most important for you. They are designed to help you in your efforts to honor and recognize the very best students of business at your business school.
Also, if an email comes directly to you from the Central Office, it too is of great importance and should be opened and reviewed.
