BGS Lifetime Membership Benefits Update
The Central Office has worked hard over the last several years to identify and bring forward new ways to add value to the lifetime membership. We’ve developed some long-term relationships that continue to provide value, as well as bring forward new opportunities that should be exciting for the future.
 For new members, the subscriptions from major business publications that come with the membership fee continue to be very popular. We are pleased to announce that Bloomberg Businessweek, Fortune and TheWeek have all agreed to take part in the program once again this year. BGS Scholarships
Of course, for chapters that qualify, the BGS Scholarship Program continues to grow. Last year Beta Gamma Sigma and its member deans awarded more than $140,000 in scholarships to deserving new members, and we would very much like that number to grow. It is our goal that every chapter awards a scholarship each year to a deserving student. BGS Student Leadership Forum
 One of the most popular BGS benefits ever has been the Student Leadership Forum. Hosted twice each year, the Forum brings together up to 100 students from colleges and universities across the country (and around the world) to attend a truly unique leadership event. Unfortunately, too few chapters take part in this program, and too few students are able to benefit. Test Prep Discounts
Valuable for student and alumni members alike, Beta Gamma Sigma has arranged for very generous discounts on test prep services, including Becker CPA, Kaplan and Kaplan Schweser, and Princeton Review. As you know, these services can be very helpful for members looking to extend their education, and we’ve arranged great discounts.

BGS LinkedIn Group
 Our newest member benefit is the BGS Group that has been set up on LinkedIn. This is a tremendous resource for members of all experience levels to network with others who have earned lifetime membership. In its first week, the BGS LinkedIn Group has attracted more than 6,500 members. Chapter representatives and student members are encouraged to join the group by clicking http://www.linkedin.com/e/gis/782197. (Note: The BGS LinkedIn Group is exclusively for members, chapter representatives, and others who work with BGS student members at your schools. Students who have not yet joined Beta Gamma Sigma are not eligible to join. Please explain that joining the group is an exclusive BGS member benefit, so it is yet another reason to work toward an invitation to the Society, and to join when students receive the invitation.)
