New: Waiver of Membership Fee for Doctorates
Beta Gamma Sigma’s Board of Governors recently adopted a policy change to waive the membership fee for students who earn a doctorate in business (degree received on or after January 24, 2009).

BGS Collegiate Chapter Training Seminars
Beta Gamma Sigma offers its collegiate chapter advisors and officers a tremendous opportunity to learn firsthand the best methods for running a BGS collegiate chapter. Discover new processes, best practices and share ideas with those in your position at other business schools. The BGS Collegiate Chapter Officer Training Seminar is a vital tool for maximizing the effectiveness of chapters.

BGS Business Achievement Award and Medallion for Entrepreneurship
As a Society recognizing business excellence, it is important that we distinguish and honor those who have made significant achievements in business. The Beta Gamma Sigma Business Achievement Award and Medallion for Entrepreneurship recognize the outstanding accomplishments of such individuals. BGS deans and chapter advisors are encouraged to nominate a candidate for these two prestigious merits.

Founders' Week
Start Planning for BGS Founders’ Week - February 14-20, 2010
February 19, 2010, will mark Beta Gamma Sigma's 97th anniversary as an Honor Society. Please be sure your Beta Gamma Sigma chapter celebrates this important week in Beta Gamma Sigma history.

Student Leadership Forum
One of the most rewarding programs for collegiate members is the opportunity to attend the Beta Gamma Sigma Student Leadership Forum. Hosted twice annually, each unique event brings together up to 100 collegiate members from BGS chapters globally to learn and acquire valuable skills in leadership.

Member Benefits Update
Beta Gamma Sigma has built and maintained strong partnerships, which have allowed the Society to offer our more than 625,000 members a variety of valuable benefits and programs. We will continue to foster these relationships and diligently work to identify and provide new and worthwhile membership opportunities.

2010 BGS Chapter Anniversaries
As Beta Gamma Sigma plans for its centennial celebration in 2012-2013, it’s also important to recognize collegiate chapters that are celebrating significant anniversaries in 2010. If your BGS chapter is approaching a significant anniversary (5th, 10th, 20th, 25th, 50th, etc.), we suggest marking the occasion with a special event. Celebrating your chapter’s anniversary is a great way to generate publicity for your business school, BGS chapter, and your business program’s top students.
