Tips from Outstanding Chapters on their "Best Practices"
-
Make the BGS invitation process highly visible. Extend the tapping ceremony out over four days during Founders’ Week
- Purchase a BGS Bronze Key to display on campus
- Sponsor an Executive Lecture series. BGS members can host the events, and business leaders can visit campus to share what they’ve learned
-
Create a BGS chapter page for spreading news and promoting the Society’s events
- Provide BGS regalia (cords, stoles, medallions) for members to wear at graduation
- Send a student (or two) to the Student Leadership Forum to learn more about BGS
-
Nominate business professionals for the Medallion of Entrepreneurship and Business Achievement awards
-
Host a Founders’ Day luncheon, and invite BGS members from the President’s and Dean’s lists
-
Show BGS pride! Ask faculty and administrators to wear BGS pins during the month of February 2013 in honor of the Centennial celebration
