Chapters that qualified to submit an application for the "BGS Outstanding Chapter Advisor" program MUST do so by January 31, 2008 to be considered. Eligible chapters were named either Premier or Exemplary Chapters in 2007.

B-Mails
In order to keep the collegiate chapters informed of Society goings-on and pertinent news and information, as well as to help your chapter run more smoothly, the Central Office will be continuing the use of Beta Gamma Sigma B-Mail this Spring. These regular messages will include information regarding upcoming programs and activities, as well as helpful hints for chapter success.

Make sure your chapter doesn't miss out on any breaking Society news or special opportunities! Be sure to read each B-Mail issue! Add bgshonors@betagmmasigma.org to your email address book to avoid problems with your spam filters.

Medallion for Entrepreneurship/Business Achievement Award
Honor, Wisdom and Earnestness. These ideals are the very foundation upon which Beta Gamma Sigma is built. Each year, BGS asks its collegiate chapters to nominate top business leaders, who not only excel in business but also personify the Society's core values, to be recognized with the Medallion for Entrepreneurship and the Business Achievement Award.

The award recipients, who are chosen on an international basis and awarded locally by the chapters, are examples of the very personal and professional business excellence that all BGS members should strive for.

Bronze Key
The Beta Gamma Sigma Key can be a symbol of academic excellence on your campus.

The Board of Governors of Beta Gamma Sigma encourages chapters to consider adding this symbol of academic excellence to their physical plant. The Key can be mounted either indoors or outdoors. The base should be obtained or built locally. Plans for a cast concrete base are available from the Central Office, but native stone or other materials may be used.

The Central Office Staff is prepared to assist chapters in fund raising efforts by providing contact information for BGS alumni of the chapter or potential donors in the area of the institution.

For information concerning the purchase of the BGS Key for display on your campus, please contact James Viehland, Executive Director, at jviehland@betagammasigma.org or download the informational Bronze Key flyer.

Click here to see how other collegiate chapters have chosen to display the bronze key.
