BGS Founders' Week
Celebrate Beta Gamma Sigma's 99th Anniversary February 19-25, 2012

February 19, 1913, a very important day in the history of Beta Gamma Sigma. Now, almost 100 years later, we can only imagine what the founders would think of the growth in size and scope of the honor society they created.

Your chapter is encouraged to celebrate this date – and we ask you to be creative in how
to do so. February 19 is a great date to begin getting the name of Beta Gamma Sigma out to business school students.

Whether you host an event, post a display in the hallway, send a notice out to b-school students, place an article in a school publication, issue the invitations to membership through tapping in the classes, or come up with your own idea, we hope you and your chapter will choose to participate in Beta Gamma Sigma Founders’ Week 2012.

Then, let us know what you did. Send photos to us or send an email telling us about your activities. We look forward to hearing from you – and then sharing the information with all our
chapters.

Attend Beta Gamma Sigma’s Founders’ Week Webinar!

In addition to the celebration suggestions below, BGS is once again inviting all of its collegiate chapters and members around the world to take part in its international Founders’ Week Webinar on Tuesday, Feb. 21.

The presentation will focus on the various programs and projects that will be part of the Society's Centennial Celebration. Find out for yourself what BGS has been working on, and learn how you can get involved in celebrating Beta Gamma Sigma's 100th.

Collegiate chapters are encouraged to come together and participate in this special event as a group. If this is not possible, please encourage your student members to participate in this presentation. Each session can accommodate up to 1,000 participants and we hope to fill the space.

Founders’ Week Celebration Ideas:

• Hold a BGS event and invite student members to join and participate in the Founders’ Week Webinar at a location on campus
  
• Tap (invite in classes) qualifying students/faculty for membership
  
  
• Host a reception for business majors or honors students
  
  
• Promote the Beta Gamma Sigma Center for Ethical Business Leadership
  
  
• Display a BGS banner on campus. Central Office now offers affordable in-house custom printing and can create a banner for your chapter. For more information, contact Donna Binek dbinek@betagammasigma.org
  
  
• Display Beta Gamma Sigma posters in prominent business school and campus locations
