Support the Mission of Beta Gamma Sigma

The Mission of the International Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business, to foster personal and professional excellence, to advance the values of the Society, and to serve its lifelong members.

Beta Gamma Sigma thanks those members and friends that have given generously to the Society. Beta Gamma Sigma offers a sincere “thank you” and a promise that the Society will continue finding more and better ways to add value to the lifetime membership.

While most national statistics indicate that total charitable giving was fairly stagnate recent years, BGS’s friends and members continue to come through. Our challenge continues with the uncertain economy and the continued prediction of decreased giving to non-profit organizations. In this very tough environment, it is remarkable that Beta Gamma Sigma members continue to help so generously. Thank you again.

With the continued, and increasingly global, growth of Beta gamma Sigma, the needs of student and alumni members around the world will similarly increase in coming years. Therefore, the need for help continues to grow and we’re confident that our members will continue to step forward and assist.

Friends of Beta Gamma Sigma may make contributions to the Society's general fund, by clicking here, or directly to one of Beta Gamma Sigma’s most important programs, described below. These programs – and more importantly the student and alumni members assisted through them – depend on the annual generosity of our donors. Most of them could not happen without that support.

Beta Gamma Sigma Student Leadership Forum
More than 1,500 student members have taken part in the Forum program, and those who now occupy professional positions continue to communicate that the Forum was a long-term benefit to them. Former Forum participants, other members and great friends continue to make the Student Leadership Forum a priority through their generous gifts.

BGS Emergency Membership Fund
This emergency fund, established in 2008, provides paid memberships to those eligible students who would be unable to accept membership for financial reasons. Gifts to BGS have funded more than 200 memberships so far, and the need continues to grow in this tough economic climate.

BGS Collegiate Scholarship Program
Thanks to one of the longest-running of the BGS benefit programs, the Society and its member deans have distributed more than $1.8 million in scholarships since 1988. Member support has been vital as this program has grown over the years.

BGS Center for Ethical Business Leadership
The BGS Center provides members and the entire business community online programming that highlights the importance of interweaving ethical decision making into the very fabric of business. Some of the world’s most successful and respected business leaders speak candidly about the value of ethical leadership, and warn of the dangers to those individuals and organizations that don’t take this issue seriously.
