Beta
Gamma Sigma is fortunate that so many corporations have seen the value
of offering discounted services and products to its members. Lifetime
membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is a valuable accomplishment, and many
corporations have agreed that working with our members is very good
for them.
Although
Beta Gamma Sigma has partnered with many organizations, two are being
recognized in this publication. KPMG and Bloomberg Businessweek
have seen the value of connecting with BGS and found creative ways to
build their partnerships with the Society.
KPMG
KPMG
needs little introduction when it comes to professional services. According
to its website (www.kpmg.com),
KPMG International “is a global network of professional services
firms providing Audit, Tax and Advisory services. (KPMG) operates in
148 countries and have around 6,500 partners, 70,000 client service
professionals, and 17,000 administration and support staff working in
member firms around the world.”
With that
sort of resume, it’s no wonder KPMG has decided to partner with
Beta Gamma Sigma through the BGS
CareerCentral On-Line Job Board to find qualified
applicants. KPMG purchased a one-year job-posting package on the site,
which allows the company to post as many jobs – and hire as many
BGS members – as it wishes.
KPMG is
a model for other organizations that would like to hire “the best
in business” – members of Beta Gamma Sigma.
In addition,
the KPMG Foundation has been a Gold-level sponsor of the Beta Gamma Sigma Student Leadership
Forum. Recognizing the importance of preparing the next generation of
business leaders, KPMG has been an important contributor – both
financially and through supplying speakers and presenters – since
the program began.
Bloomberg Businessweek
The
relationship between Bloomberg Businessweek and Beta Gamma Sigma began
with a discussion very similar to those held with other potential partners.
Bloomberg Businessweek saw a tremendous opportunity to get in front of “the
best in business” just as they were being inducted into the Society.
So, Bloomberg Businessweek gives a one-year gift subscription (either
online or print) to every new member of Beta Gamma Sigma.
But they
didn’t stop there. Recognizing that Beta Gamma Sigma was much
more than a group of high achieving college students and recent grads,
Bloomberg Businessweek now offers its publication at the lowest price
available to all BGS members. This is a tremendous opportunity for members
to receive one of the world’s finest business periodicals at a
fraction of its usual cost.
To confirm
its commitment to Beta Gamma Sigma and its mission and objectives, Bloomberg Businessweek
has been instrumental in helping the Society with some of its most important
programs. In addition to the Student Leadership Forum, which it supports
at the Platinum level, Bloomberg Businessweek shared its expertise by assisting
the Society in surveying its membership. It has been a sponsor of the
Collegiate Chapter Workshops, the Alumni Chapter Workshops, and many
other programs that have advanced the Society’s mission and objectives.
Beta Gamma
Sigma thanks both KPMG and Bloomberg Businessweek
for their invaluable support and assistance. If you work for or with
an organization that would like to connect with Beta Gamma Sigma, let
