Society
more than doubles its number of non-U.S. chapters
The year 2004 was
one of remarkable growth for Beta Gamma Sigma. With the addition of
24 new collegiate chapters and one alumni chapter during the last calendar
year, one would have to say that the Society had a very good year. But
it doesn’t stop there.
Of the chapters
installed in 2004, eight of them were established outside of the United
States, more than doubling the Society’s non-U.S. presence. Moreover,
six of these new chapters were the first collegiate chapters installed
within their respective countries, and one, The University of Sydney,
was the first to be installed on its continent.
Already,
2005 has shown signs of equal, if not greater, growth potential. In
January 2005, Beta Gamma Sigma established its first alumni chapter
outside the United States with the installation of the Hong Kong Alumni
Chapter. Setting another milestone was the installation of the Aston
University Collegiate Chapter, the first such chapter established in
the United Kingdom.
Beta Gamma
Sigma congratulates all its new chapters, whether collegiate or alumni,
and expects great things from each of them in the future. The opportunities
to recognize the best students of business – at the world’s
best business schools – and to provide significant benefits to
members following graduation are central to the Society’s function.
We
welcome the following chapters into Beta Gamma Sigma, and their newest
members into the Society of “the best in business”:
