Recent
survey indicates BGS members with email address on file with the Society
consider themselves more "active" than others
Welcome to Beta
Gamma Sigma’s second electronic-only version of the BGS
International Exchange. We have gotten very positive feedback
from members about both the electronic and print versions of the magazine,
and your continued input is certainly welcome and appreciated. Please
email us at exchange@betagammasigma.org
and let us know how we’re doing.
The Society
is happy to announce that the International Exchange will now
be distributed to members four times per year – twice electronically
to those with working email addresses on file with the Central Office,
and twice in printed form to everyone with a valid mailing address.
In its history, Beta Gamma Sigma has never delivered its newsletter/magazine
more than three times annually, so we are very excited about this additional
opportunity to let you know what’s going on.
Recently,
with the help of one of our major partners, Bloomberg Businessweek,
we were able to complete a survey of a portion of our members with email
addresses. If you took part in this survey, thank you very much. Your
input will be vital as we continue finding ways to serve you better.
But we’re not nearly done. Additional surveys will focus on different
areas, so if you’re chosen, we would very much appreciate your
participation.

One of the things
we recognized through the results of the survey was that our members
who keep an active email on file with Beta Gamma Sigma are very “in
tune” with the developments of the Society. They overwhelmingly
consider themselves “active” members, and we are very pleased
with that assessment. The more active our membership, the more beneficial
Beta Gamma Sigma can be for everyone.
We also found that
BGS members with email addresses on file tend to be much more interested
and informed about advances in technology than the general public. You
spend a great deal of time online, and you are much more likely to make
purchases through the Internet than others.
Since this
is one of our email editions of the magazine, I thought it was the perfect
opportunity to say thank you for staying active. All of us representing
Beta Gamma Sigma get great satisfaction knowing your membership is important
to you. Because we have learned a little more about you and your interests,
we are more convinced that there is value to sending the e-versions
of the BGS International Exchange.
Thanks again, and
remember to keep your information current in the BGS Central Office.
We’d love to keep you as an “active” member so you
can continue to get the maximum benefit from your membership.
