After establishing
some very successful alumni chapters over the last six years, Beta Gamma
Sigma is set to debut two more chapters in the fall of 2004. One will
be a continuation of the program that has already succeeded, while the
other is an historic event in the timeline of the honor society.

Denver, Colorado
On September
17, 2004, Beta Gamma Sigma will host an alumni reception in Denver,
officially signaling the establishment of the 17th chapter in the BGS
Alumni Network. Members of the Board of Governors, Central Office staff,
and Beta Gamma Sigma members in the Denver area will come together to
discuss the new chapter. This will be the first new alumni chapter established
since 2002.
Hong Kong
Later in
the fall, Beta Gamma Sigma is very proud to announce the establishment
of its first alumni chapter outside the United States. Hong Kong, with
two very successful collegiate chapters (The Chinese University of Hong
Kong and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology), has become
the first non-U.S. city to successfully petition for an alumni chapter.
Enthusiasm has been quite high in Hong Kong, so Beta Gamma Sigma expects
the chapter to become one of its most active.
If you reside
in either Denver or Hong Kong, please check the website for updated
information about events. These chapters are sure to re-energize members,
and to add more value to their lifetime memberships in the Society.
