Founders' Day
Each collegiate chapter is encouraged
to celebrate Beta Gamma Sigma Founders’ Day/Week on campus
during the week of Feb. 19-25, 2012, or on the actual anniversary
of the Society’s founding, Feb. 19. Beta Gamma Sigma would
like to see all the collegiate chapters celebrate this occasion
and hope they all plan to participate. Each chapter that participates
will help raise the awareness of Beta Gamma Sigma on campus, to
the business students, and throughout the community.
Here are some suggestions for celebrating Founders’ Day:
- Host a reception for business majors or honors students.
- Announce Beta Gamma Sigma Professor of the Year.
- Display Founders’ Day posters
- Display the Founder's
Day PowerPoint Presentation
- Provide an article about Beta Gamma Sigma to the campus newspaper (download a sample press release that can be used).
- Members can wear BGS apparel, key, ribbon on campus (BGS Store).
- Tap (invite in classes) qualifying students/faculty for membership.
- Purchase and dedicate the BGS Bronze Key on campus.
