Summer Internship Program

The International Honor Society of Beta Gamma
Sigma is seeking two qualified BGS student members for a 10-week
internship during the summer of 2013. Below is a description of
this internship’s general purposes and requirements. Some
tasks will be completed as an intern team and others will be individually
assigned by a staff supervisor. This is a paid internship and is
sponsored in part by GMAC.

Job Responsibilities: |

1) |
Survey Research
Serve as a point of contact for new members,
securing a focus group of those recently inducted who will
agree to participate in a series of electronic surveys over
the summer
- Answer member questions
- Work alongside staff to create survey questions
and enter on SurveyMonkey
- Conduct and tabulate results as determined
by Beta Gamma Sigma intern and staff
- Prepare reports for BGS staff on the survey
results
- Utilize information gained to enhance social
media content, inviting focus group members to participate
or contribute
Coordinate annual BGS survey with Bloomberg
BusinessWeek and provide assistance on question verbiage and
tabulate results with staff’s guidance
Coordinate a survey for specific groups of
collegiate chapter advisors, creating case studies off of
results and developing resources that serve those chapters

Administrative Assistance
• Utilize
Raiser’s Edge to assist with tracking lost members and
provide basic database maintenance
• Monitor
membership approvals on the Beta Gamma Sigma LinkedIn group
• Assist
with BGS Re-invite program, including mailing and member questions
|
3) |
Special Projects
• Perform
field research for collegiate chapters identified by BGS staff
• Assist
with chapter operations as needed
• Coordinate
a new member activity/service day/other
• Perform
research for the development department
