Beta Gamma Sigma Names Saint
Joseph's U., Stephen F. Austin State U., and La Salle U. Outstanding
Chapter Award Honorable Mentions
Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honor
society, recently named Saint Joseph’s University, Stephen
F. Austin State University and La Salle University 2009 Outstanding
Chapter Honorable Mention recipients. The Outstanding Chapter Award
recognizes Beta Gamma Sigma collegiate chapter excellence.
“The Outstanding Chapter Award is presented at four levels:
Gold, Silver, Bronze and Honorable Mention. This year, it is a pleasure
to recognize Saint Joseph’s University, Stephen F. Austin
State University and La Salle University for their exceptional chapter
performance in encouraging and honoring academic achievement in
the study of business,” said George E. Stevens, president
of Beta Gamma Sigma.
In addition to securing this prestigious accolade, as an Honorable
Mention recipient of the 2009 Outstanding Chapter Award, each chapter
will also receive a $500 scholarship from Beta Gamma Sigma to present
to one of its outstanding student members.
To be considered for Beta Gamma Sigma’s Outstanding Chapter
Award, chapters must complete and return a survey that details their
membership acceptance and activities. Only chapters with a membership
acceptance rate of 85 percent or greater are eligible for consideration.
