La Salle University’s
Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter Receives Outstanding Chapter Award Honorable
Mention
Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honor society, recently
named La Salle University a 2009 Outstanding Chapter, honoring it
as an Honorable Mention recipient. The Outstanding Chapter Award
recognizes Beta Gamma Sigma collegiate chapter excellence.
“The Outstanding Chapter Award is presented at four levels:
Gold, Silver, Bronze and Honorable Mention. This year, it is a pleasure
to recognize La Salle University for its exceptional chapter performance
in encouraging and honoring academic achievement in the study of
business,” said George E. Stevens, president of Beta Gamma
Sigma.
This year marks the seventh time since 2001 the La Salle chapter
has been selected for this award. As well as receiving The Honorable
Mention, the La Salle chapter also garnered another high honor.
La Salle’s chapter advisor, Dr. Susan Borkowski, was named
Beta Gamma Sigma’s 2009 Outstanding Chapter Advisor.
In addition to securing these prestigious accolades, as an Honorable
Mention recipient of the 2009 Outstanding Chapter Award, the La
Salle University chapter will also receive a $500 scholarship from
Beta Gamma Sigma to present to one of its outstanding student members.
To be considered for Beta Gamma Sigma’s Outstanding Chapter
Award, chapters must complete and return a survey that details their
membership acceptance and activities. Only chapters with a membership
acceptance rate of 85 percent or greater are eligible for consideration.
