Seoul, South Korea –The international expansion of Beta Gamma Sigma through association with elite institutions worldwide continued asSejong University's Beta Gamma Sigma chapterwas formally installed and welcomed into the International Honor Society during a ceremony held on June 25, 2011 at Sejong University.

Professor Theodore Wallin, Dean of the Graduate School of Business of Sejong University, served as Installing Officer for the ceremony that included the induction of 29 new Beta Gamma Sigma members, including undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty.

"This is a celebration of excellence, accomplishment and professionalism," Wallin said, during his speech. "It is the highest honor a graduate or a professional can receive".

Professor Wallin noted over time the business schools at the university will appreciate
how meaningful it is to be distinguished by Beta Gamma Sigma membership, and
he applauded the amount of hard work, discipline and patience these new members
have demonstrated.

President Woo Hee Park of Sejong University congratulated the newly elected BGS members, stressing the importance of the ceremony as a sign of Sejong University's commitment to be at the forefront of business education.

Dean Jong Yul Lee of the School of Business greeted faculty and students selected to join
the BGS Honor Society with words of praise and encouragement, while emphasizing the
high honor conferred to the new members and, by extension, to the School of Business
of Sejong University as a whole.

Lifetime membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest honor a business student
anywhere in the world can receive in an undergraduate (baccalaureate) or master's (post-baccalaureate) program at a school accredited by AACSB International. Only business students who rank in the upper 10 percent of their junior or senior class, the upper 20 percent of their graduating master's class, or have completed all doctoral requirements are eligible for membership. Beta Gamma Sigma membership provides lifetime recognition. This lifelong commitment to its members' academic and professional success is defined in the Society's mission: to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business, to foster personal and professional excellence, to advance the values of the Society, and to serve its lifelong members.
