Fall 2004 Student Leadership Forum

The Fall 2004 Student Leadership Forum was held November 3-7, 2004 in San Antonio, Texas. The following are a few photos from the event.

Some comments from participants follow the photos.

"This was such a great conference - the people, speakers and activities were so beneficial. The similarities between all of us was also interesting - to meet so many other people just like me - same goals, fears and values was truly touching. The speakers and activities were inspiring!"
- Marissa Hodges, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi

"This Forum helped me in two regards: I was able to meet other leaders from across the country, and I was able to improve myself in areas I had never thought about before."
- Ryan J. Pfaff, Truman State University

"It was awesome to have a break from school and classes and everyday pressures and meet new people very similar to us who face the same pressures. The 'Learning to Read the Signs' seminars helped us to further distance ourselves from the normal difficulties of life and determine our key values and what we want out of life."
- Rayna Schindler, University of Tulsa

"The Beta Gamma Sigma Leadership Forum was a very valuable exercise in examining the roots of our leadership habits and in supplying the means to improve those leadership habits."
- Brandice N. Wells, University of Arkansas

"The BGS Leadership Forum gave me the chance to dig deeper into my vision of leadership than I ever have in the past."
- Adam C. Davis, Elon University

"By exploring and interpreting how I felt about my situation, it has helped me see that things will turn out okay. Also, the conference has taught me that people are different and I need to be sensitive to those differences."
- Xing Cindy Chen, University of Hawaii at Manoa

"I am amazed at how one group of 70 students can grow and learn from each other over only a 72-hour period. The friends that I made here will always have a place in my heart."
- Courtney L. Brock, University of South Carolina

“This Forum helped me to take the time out of my life to stop and think about where it is going and to develop some of the skills and lifelong friends and acquaintances that will be very useful to me throughout the rest of my life. I loved this Forum, the activities that we did, and the people I met.”
- Jessica L. Massey, University of Tulsa

"The Forum provides an opportunity to learn the important information that is not taught in the university. We learn not just what a leader is but we learn who we are as a leader, what we can do as a leader, and what we can bring to the business world."
- Devon M. Isaacs, University of North Carolina at Greensboro

"I had an amazing experience. It was fun getting to know exceptional students from all over the country. The guest speakers, programs and students all challenged me to become a stronger leader. Thank you."
- Ashley M. Gaal, University of Florida
