Scholarships

Beta Gamma Sigma is pleased to announce the availability of scholarships to attend the 2017 Global Leadership Summit. Thanks to the generosity of donors and other members of BGS, scholarships will offset both registration costs and the cost of travel.

Students enrolled at schools in the continental United States are eligible for a scholarship up to $1,000, covering the cost of registration and partial or full travel to the Summit. Students enrolled at schools outside the continental United States are eligible for a scholarship up to $2,000, covering the cost of registration and partial or full travel to the Summit. Students enrolled at schools in the Philippines, Alaska, Hawaii and the U.S. Virgin Islands are eligible for the OUS ($2,000) scholarships. Scholarship amounts listed are the value of the award and will not be present to the student in a check but applied to the total combined cost of the GLS registration and airfare to the Summit up to the listed amount.

TRAVEL

BGS staff will work with each scholarship recipient to find a suitable itinerary, and BGS will purchase the airfare directly on behalf of the student. The preferred airline for domestic travel in the U.S. is Southwest Airlines, however all air travel will be based on the most affordable airfare available at the time of booking.

Airfare costs that exceed the amount available on the scholarship will be the responsibility of the student or may be covered by the school at their discretion. In no event will BGS refund any scholarship dollars directly to the student.Umsl-dude.jpg
