BGS Statement on the ongoing crisis in Ukraine

Beta Gamma Sigma stands solidly with the people of Ukraine as they continue to experience aggression from Russia. BGS is the international business honor society for AACSB-accredited schools and has a network with over 600 chapters around the world and lifetime members in 190 countries. We deeply value these global relationships.  The ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine requires that BGS make a decision about its position with regard to the continuation of our activities in Russia. 

BGS is suspending activities in Russia at this time. We understand that the actions by the Russian military do not reflect the thought and actions of all citizens of that country. This suspension will not affect the lifetime status of our members in Russia though it will prevent their involvement in BGS activities during the suspension. Our sincere hope is that the day will soon come when we can welcome back our members from Russia.

As an honor society, we value honor and integrity, the pursuit of wisdom, earnestness, and service.  Our hope is that wisdom will soon prevail and the people of Ukraine will once again be able to live in peace.
