Student Officer Training Webinar

We will be hosting a student officer training session December 5 at 10 am CST. Global HQ will provide information about the webinar and how to sign up directly to the 2018/2019 student officers whose name and title has been provided to our office from your chapter.

If you haven’t submitted this year’s student officers, email chapters@betagammasigma.org by December 2 so they don’t miss out on this great opportunity. Engaged student officers help the chapter earn points towards Chapter Honor Roll.

Automation Reminder – IT’S LIVE

On November 1, the CMS began sending automated induction invitation reminders. These emails are sent to students 7 days before the scheduled processing date for certificates.

Reminder messages may be sent prior to that date; they’re sent to anyone who has not accepted until that point. If your chapter would like to opt out, please email us.

Prepare for Spring Inductions with These Virtual Training Opportunities

Virtual Collegiate Chapter Training Seminars – this half-day training is designed to give faculty and staff information in a condensed format. These are not as in-depth as the in-person trainings but allow chapters to ask questions and gather ideas from other chapter leaders.

January 16, 2019 – 1 – 4 PM CST

Chapter Management System Virtual Training – these hour-long webinars focus on how faculty and staff utilize the CMS to invite members, order supplies and manage member acceptances. They are ideal for all faculty/staff level chapter officers, both new and continuing.

Help our Emails and Invitations Reach your Students!

Have your students been missing our emails? Take these two steps to ensure you and your students have no issues receiving our messages.

  1. Ask your IT department to whitelist our email address and domain. Provide them with the following information:
  1. Remind your students to update their email preferences. For European chapters, this is especially important, since members with addresses in the EU have been automatically been opted out for GDPR compliance. To continue receiving BGS emails, students should log in to betagammasigma.org and update their profile and email preferences.

Global Leadership Summit 2018: A Huge Success

Save 10% on the Ethical Leadership Certification Program!

The Ethical Leadership Certification Program (ELCP), developed in partnership with the NASBA Center for the Public Trust, teaches students about navigating complex ethical issues they’ll likely find in their career. It’s also a certification they can list on their resume, to help them stand out from the crowd—it proves they’re committed to supporting an ethical workplace culture.

For a limited time, you and your students can save 10 percent on ethical leadership certification! And remember—when you enroll your chapter, you can select how much (if any) the chapter should be invoiced for.
