New Certificate Processing Schedule

To ensure certificates arrive a few days before ceremonies, we have updated the certificate processing schedules for all chapters within the United States. We have added 1-2 days to process certificates to ensure they are received on time. Please let make sure all chapter leadership and students are aware of this change, as it will affect their deadline to receive a physical certificate for the ceremony.

• Midwest –13 days (calendar days) previously 11 days
• Eastern Seaboard & Southwest –15 days (previously 13 days)
• West Coast –16 days (previously 15)

Make Sure Your Certificates Get Delivered

If you have added a ceremony into the CMS recently, you will notice that you are now asked for shipping information when creating the ceremony. This will ensure your certificates are sent to the correct address with the attention to the right person.

If you added a ceremony before January 1, please go into the “Ceremony Settings” tab of the

CMS and add your shipping information.

As we approach induction season, it’s more important than ever to get the BGS name out there—so students can become familiar with the organization and recognize the name when they receive their invitations.

We created the Your Career on the Edge campaign with that in mind: to build brand awareness so that students are more likely to accept their induction invitations.

Update on Invoices

Please log in to your chapter portal to view any outstanding invoices from 2017-2018. Information about paying those can be found in our user guide here. (Steps for paying invoices begin on page 29.)

Please note that in June 2017 Global HQ moved locations. If you are sending paper checks, make sure you send them to: 11814 Borman Drive, St. Louis, MO 63146.

Plan your spring break with BGS Gives Back

This semester, talk to your chapter about ways you can be giving back to others. Participating in a volunteer project through BGS Gives Back is easy! Start by checking out our partner organizations here and seeing what’s available in your area—or reach out to a local organization that supports your community. 

For maximum impact, encourage your students to partner with other campus organizations and plan an event.

Don’t forget to complete the form to earn Honor Roll points and tag us with our #BGSGivesBack hashtag! 

Ethical Leadership Certification Program—discounted until January 31!

The Ethical Leadership Certification Program (ELCP), developed in partnership with the NASBA Center for the Public Trust, teaches students about navigating complex ethical issues they’ll likely find in their career.

Students can self-enroll, or chapters can do group enrollment—paying half the registration cost, paying the full cost, or deferring the entire cost to the students.

Group enrollment includes teaching aids to spark discussions around the topics covered in the program. Additionally, chapters that sign up two or more students through the group enrollment option will receive points towards the collegiate chapter honor roll!

Founder’s Week is almost here!

Beta Gamma Sigma’s 106th anniversary is next month. What better way to commemorate it than by celebrating our annual Founder’s Week? Founder’s Week will take place Feb. 17-23, and we hope you’ll be celebrating on your campus!
