Check out our most requested chapter resources—and our new Chapter Toolkit!

Thank you to all the chapter leaders that completed our December 2018 survey! We take your feedback very seriously, and we’re always working to make your role as an advisor as easy and stress-free as possible.

Here are some of the most requested chapter resources we already have available for you, based on the comments we received from the survey:

  • CMS tutorial videos provide step-by-step instructions through each section of the site
  • CMS User Guide provides written step-by-step instructions and includes helpful hints
  • Certificate Processing Schedule allows you to work backwards to determine when certificates will begin processing and the window in which you will receive them
  • Invitation Booklets and Info Cards are now posted online for you to easily send them to students electronically
  • Your Career on the Edge provides customizable pieces for chapters to let students know the career benefits BGS offers. This awareness campaign can be shared with all students in the business school. Materials can be downloaded from our website to use as you wish. Items include postcards, videos, emails, digital displays and print ads.

Based on your feedback, BGS HQ has been working hard to inventory, update and reorganize all the chapter resources on the website. With these changes, finding chapter resources should be easier than ever!

How is your chapter celebrating Founders Week?

Founders Week is in full swing, and it’s a great opportunity to raise awareness of BGS and increase your inductions. Make sure to use #BGSFOUNDERS and tag us on social media and send us photos of your Founders Week events!

Haven’t had a chance to celebrate? There’s still time to set up an info table in your business school, post about it on social media, and send a press release to your school news organizations.

Automated reminders are live

Seven days before your scheduled certificate processing date, the CMS is set to automatically send reminder emails to all invited individuals who haven’t accepted their invitations to join.

If you’d like your reminder messages to be sent earlier, or if your chapter would like to opt out, please email us.

    • Cleveland, OH Area
    • Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN Area
    • San Diego, CA Area
    • Seattle, WA Area
    • South Florida Area

If you or your graduating students are/will be living in one of these areas, and are interested in being an officer, please contact us.

Help our emails and invitations reach your students!

Have your students been getting our emails? Take these two steps to ensure you and your students have no issues receiving our messages.

  1. Ask your IT department to whitelist our email address and domain. Provide them with the following information:

Remind your students to update their email preferences. For European chapters, this is especially important—members with an EU address listed in our CMS have been opted out of receiving BGS emails for GDPR compliance. For students to continue receiving BGS emails, they’ll need to log in to betagammasigma.org and update their profile and email preferences.
